Kolera Daya is the son of Kolera Sri. Chengappa. He is currently serving as the Vice President of the Town Co-operative Bank, Ponnampet. His commitment to public service is evident from his decade-long tenure as a Director in APCMS, where he contributed significantly to the organization’s growth. He is a former Taluk Panchayat member, dedicated to public service and community development.
He also served as the President of the Grama Panchayath, Ponnampet, for two and a half years, in addition to being a member for seven and a half years. His leadership extended to the media sector as well, where he was a trustee of the Press Club for five years while also working as a press reporter. He currently holds the position of President of Kannada Sahithya Parishath, promoting Kannada literature and language.
As the Vice President of the Merchant Association in Ponnampet, he plays an active role in fostering business growth and community welfare. His dedication to spiritual and cultural activities is reflected in his service as the President of the Basaveshwara Temple, Ponnampet.
