Mookolara Asha Poonacha is the daughter of Kuppanda Sri. Uthappa and Smt.Thangamma.. She completed her schooling up to high school in Gonikoppal, pursued her Pre-University Course at Cauvery College, Gonikoppal, and earned a B.A. degree from Maharani College, Bangalore.
Her journey in community service began in 1998 when she served as the Vice President of Mahila Samaj, Ponnampet, for five years, later becoming its President in 2003. In 2006, she took on the role of President of the Grama Panchayat, Ponnampet, serving for two and a half years, in addition to being a member for the same period. From 2013 to 2016 her contributions extended further as a Director of Kodava Samaj, Ponnampet. In 2016, she was elected as a Taluk Panchayat Member of Ponnampet, serving for five years. Continuing her dedication, she assumed the role of Director of the Town Co-operative Bank, Ponnampet, in 2023. Additionally, she is holding the Honorary Secretary of Kodava Pommakada Koota, Ponnampet.
She is blessed with two children, Chinnappa MP who is currently working with Qantas company in Sydney, Australia and Kavery married to Mandaneravanda Subbaiah and are based in Qatar.
